Sammy Struyf takes over from Alexandre Huyghe as CEO of Revive

Revive announces the appointment of Sammy Struyf as CEO. He succeeds Alexandre Huyghe, who, after thirteen years at Revive – the last seven of which as CEO – is moving to his family’s real estate group, Alides.

Revive has carefully prepared the transition over recent months, with a view to ensuring continuity and supporting further expansion. Revive Fund Management (RFM), the Belgian Alternative Investment Fund Manager licensed by the FSMA behind the Revive Impact Fund (REIF), is currently conducting a capital raise. Thanks to its full AIFM licence, RFM is now opening its impact fund directly to Belgian high-net-worth and well-informed investors, with a minimum investment of €100,000, without the need for an intermediary feeder structure.

Sammy Struyf has built his career over the past fifteen years at Ghelamco. Among other responsibilities, he oversaw the development of the Ghelamco Arena and the surrounding office and hotel development. He progressed from Financial & Technical Controller to Investment Manager, with responsibility for a significant part of the group’s international portfolio, operational real estate platforms and private equity portfolio. Struyf studied in the United States, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and Management. “I look back on my fifteen years at Ghelamco with great gratitude, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me throughout that time,” says Struyf.

Struyf will lead Revive through its next phase of growth. The company’s 2030 business plan focuses on strengthening its international presence and expanding its fund management activities, while maintaining a strong focus on urban regeneration and affordable housing. “Revive has established itself as a market leader in the sustainable transformation of complex real estate projects, and it was precisely that ambition that convinced me to take on this role,” says Struyf. “The challenges in this area are immense, and I look forward to working with the team to create new living environments and to further shape Revive’s international growth and fund management activities.”

Revive would like to thank Alexandre Huyghe for his years of commitment and loyalty. Under his leadership, the company further strengthened its position as a market leader in the sustainable transformation of complex real estate projects. “Thirteen years at Revive, seven of them as CEO, feel like a very special chapter,” says Huyghe. “I am grateful to the team and the Board of Directors for their trust, and I am confident in handing over Revive to Sammy.” Huyghe will remain with Revive until the end of the year and will support the transition.
