To realise the future plans for the Clinic Site, we are working together with two architectural firms from Ghent: KRAS Architects and Archipl Architects.

Mobility

When a new neighbourhood is developed, local residents often have questions about the impact on mobility in and around the neighbourhood. The site around AZ Maria Middelares is easily accessible, by bike, bus, car and even train. Our ambition is to keep it that way. That is why we engaged the mobility experts from Traject to discuss the impact of our future plans with them.

Temporary use: Kliniek in transitie

For all parties involved, it is important that the site becomes a place where the neighbourhood feels welcome. Even before the neighbourhood park and the residential development are completed. That is why this summer, the temporary infill 'Kliniek in transitie' will take place, creating a temporary play and meeting area for the neighbourhood, aimed at families and with a focus on health and healthy living.
